Ok finally got off my lazy ass and started to strip my wheels to get them ready for a fresh coat of paint. This is as far as I got today. Still need to hit it with some sand paper to finish the rest. This is how they look after 2 bottles of aircraft paint remover.

Color change on the wheels? Or just a refinish?

Its going to be a refinish. They had some minor scratches that I wanted to take care of.

That is actually option 2 for me. Only thing holding me back from that is I really don't want the car to stand out that much. My color choices in order are silver, bronze or gun metal. Still have to pick a color for the brembo setup as well. I'm thinking about doing silver rims with black brembos with silver brembo logo. I think bronze rims with black brembos with bronze brembo logo will look good too. Eh I have 2 more weeks to decide so we'll see.

Thought about using that color combo after seeing cali's ride. Don't think these evo wheels could pull it off even if I gave them a polished lip and did gloss black. To make that combo look right I would have to get another set of wheels that had some nice size lips.

I used the stuff in the can that you have to apply with a brush. I got it from Pep Boys but you can get it at other parts stores.
