    8thgen Newbie

Helllo, my names chris and I Just purchased an 02 v6 LS Galant this past Saturday 3-12-11. I then joined The Galant Center the next day Sunday. This seemed like a forum full of info for modifiying galants, and helped me see the potential mine could have. I did some browsing on here prior to purchasing it to have some sort of game plan...so hopefully I've answered most of my newbie questions on my own. Forgive me in advance if I ask any questions that unkowingly have been answered. Plan for now is to have a clean daily driver with class but an edge...low profile but yet makes a statement. Guess that covers everything for now, and look forward to making more posts.

Welcome to the forum hope to see pictures of your car...........so any ideas on what kind of mods you would be interested in?

First completed mod as of sun 3/12...debadged the "Mitsubishi" and "LS" off the trunk.

Good ol goo gone, a hairdryer, and dental floss. Then rinsed of the trunk and applied some wax to the areas where the badges use to exist. Thats where the puddle came from in the picture. Mods to come so far are 8000k hids for the headlights and and bulbs for the fogs that will hopefully match or come close to the hids. I ordered them later on that night after I brought the Galant home. Future mods mainly will be focusing on the look of the car wheels, lowering, etc. Some audio and a little performance...intake and exhaust at the least. Still doing research on the car a little everyday for the most part.

    Thanks for the welcome everybody

BTW the pictures were taking from my phone, and I had fooled with some of the settings to get the bluish effect..didn't think to get pictures of the true color except the picture of my trunk after being debadged.

Thanks again for the welcomes....I'm leaving the v6 badges for sure...I know some would prefer to have a clean body free of emblems...but the ones I took off were the only ones I felt I could do with out.

Car looks clean. How many miles do you have.

Are you in VA, since you have VA temp tags?
