The history and future of my 8G

I pick it up used in April of 2005.

After a few months I started buying parts for her. First I picked up some GTZ wheels, had to get rid of the hubcaps. Then came the typical mods cleared corners, shaved the badges from the rear and replaced the red mitsubishi badge with the chrome one. At the start of 2006 I had big planes for her. I got the windows tinted, bought lowering springs, bought a new set of wheels, picked up a EGR rear sun-guard, some S7 gauge overlays, OBX header, cold air intake, and new radio with subs.

This a pic I took when I test fitted my first set of Axis Hagens

In April on 2006 I had a major setback. My job was closed down and I had to sell off some parts then a few weeks later I hydroplaned into a ditch.

After the accident she was down for a month. In May 2006 I started my new job and after getting the rest of my life back in order I started to show my 8g some love again. I picked up some 3rd gen tails. Bought a new head-unit and subs and started picking up JDM parts. The last pic of my car before JDM conversion.

After getting some great parts from Trigger and picking up my 2nd set of Axis Hagens i think she was happy. Then my intake manifold broke.....

After fixing the intake manifold work picked up so modding slowed down. In mid 2007 I completed the rear disc swap and painted the front bumper before NOPI that year.

When I got my refund in 2008 I bought her a set of Brembos and some KYB AGX's to replace the blown stock struts. After finding a good price on some wheels to clear the brakes they went on.

I was pretty happy with my car at this point so for a while modding all but stopped. As of late the bug to mod my 8g has started to bight again.

    Coming up mods:
    -Finish JDM outside conversion
Have side skirts need to buy rear bumper.
    -Projector retrofit
Have all the parts just need to get off my lazy ass
    -Coilovers
Will be buying very very soon
    -Redo interior
Looking for black Evo9 seats right now, already have JDM Momo steering wheels.
    -Motor build
Have a Sonata head and Evo8 intake manifold. Evo8 head internals and injectors. Stock Evo8 turbo with o2 housing. Also picked up an intercooler.

Stay tuned for more, it is going to be a good summer.
