    EGR Pipe nut size

    2001 3.0 Galant

    Getting the dreaded P0401.

Replaced everything: Valve, Solenoid, Vaccum Controller, checked all hoses, etc...

Someone suggested that the EGR Pipe/Tube may be clogged. The two 12mm bolts at the back of the intake are easy to get to. The nut on the bottom (exhaust manifold) is more of an issue, plus I don't know what size it is. Does anyone know the answer?

Anyone have any other suggestions? Am I wasting my time even checking the EGR pipe? Is it possible that it's clogged that bad?

I used 1 1/16 but if you don't take everything apart you aren't getting that wrench in there.

I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this.
