    Stance?

What spring and shock set up will give me the best all around stance? I cant stand the way my car sits generally level, but the fender gap n the front is so wide.

*Lowest i can get without coilovers or cuttin. Ill determine wheel and tire size after i got the stance i want.

KYB AGX struts and Tein springs. Look for a camber kit too.

haha, if you want to go super low on springs, then keep your blown stock dampers, get some megan springs, and you're set. It'll sag more since the shocks will be blown. Now if you want to do it right and go super low, just get coilovers... and if you really want to stay with a springs/shock setup, go with AGX and your choice of spring, but really, go for coils.

It depends if your V6 or I4. I have an I4 with Tein's & AGX's and I have 3 finger gap up front and 2 in back.

Best lowest reliable setup I've seen without going for coilovers IIRC is Megan's & AGX's. Gives you a low drop that the AGX's can handle unlike the GR-2's. If you want to use GR-2's, the best springs would be Tein's. It'll give you a 2 finger gap all around, but has had mixed reviews on longevity bcz GR-2's are not meant for lowering springs.

Low but not recommended for longevity...

    rule of thumb:

if u want to lower up to 1.25" = mild lowering springs w/ stock struts will b ok (for a while).
if u want to lower from 1.5"-2.0" = deep lowering springs w/ AGX (GR2 might b ok).
if you want to lower past 2.0" = go straight to full coilovers or airbags.

sleeves or adjustable springs are crap and are not worth the trouble as they will blow your struts.

my car on springs and then on coilovers:

H&R springs w/ stock struts (about 1.5" drop)

TEIN Super Street coilovers w/ upper Pillowball mounts (SS-P) (set around 2.75" drop)

btw, the only way to get close to even wheel well gaps, front to rear, is full coilovers or air since our front wheel wells are substantially bigger than the rears; the ride height has to be adjustable to dial in the front slightly lower than the rear.

I got an I4. I like the stance on this one. Does it have a camber kit installed?

Reelax, u r very informative. U definately made me realize I dont wanna go 2 extreme considerin coilovers cost as much as i paid 4 the car.

Your best bet is to find some Progress Springs with Gr-2/AGX struts combo. It gives the lowest drop out of all of lowering springs. The springs cost +/- $150 and the struts are around $225-500. I don't know what engine you have, that will determine how low you can go. If you want a visual comparison you got myself (v6) and shortdogg2k05 (i4) with this combo. Both of us live in Houston so I guess it's convinient for you. Oh, and welcome to the forums and the search button is your friend.

If youre gonna be riding this low you would definitely need a camber kit. IIRC this G is a V6 tho...

As far as lowering springs with shocks I'd recommend the Progress coupled with AGX or GR2.

GR2 will be cheaper. And you'll be a hair lower iirc.
