Removing side moldings

Any one know if I can remove the side molding on 06 Galant? I want to remove them but not sure what will be underneath.

Just paint, You might need to break out some degreaser or the "goop-off" to get the adhesive off all the way. And then finish off with polish or wax to bring out the shine that's hidden in there, I know that's how it went with me when I debbaged my 3G.
You want to be very careful to not pull to fast and damage your finish.

i wouldnt take them off, there are some 9Gs with out them and it makes the door look really really big and weird without them

if you take them off you will have to fill the holes on the doors and paint them
