    Rear emblem

Hey G center I was thinking about shaving my rear emblems (the galant and the mitsu emblem) and was wondering if any knew if the rear mitsu emblem is glued on or if there's a 'peg' on the rear. In other words if I remove it will there be a hole I have to fill. Any feedbacks appreciated thanks.

Pretty sure they are adhesive applied.

Effort and courage are not enough, without purpose and direction.

I Used a heatgun on the emblem to loosen the adhesive. Be careful though that you don't melt the paint.

Yea on my Acura we used a hair dryer to loosen the glue. The more you loosen it the less sticky crap you have to take off with goo gone afterwards.

hair dryer is safer. Hair dryer > floss > goo gone. Done

Today i removed the emblem of the "Mitsubishi" and made RalliArt. Front emblem RalliArt as well. I have not used the hair dryer. Simply removed the knife and cleaning solvent for paints. No holes., only double sided tape.

Ive had the same problem. 2011 GALANT

I took my heat gun and slowly took off the back emblems. Then i find the middle EMBLEM has two holes in the back!! ! What a mistake. This was about 2 weeks ago, i can not find a BLACK EMBLEM...the ones ive found on ebay are cheap carbon fiber black

...i think i might try them out or just go back to the OEM. Any suggestions??

PS: Anybody know the size of the back emblem that covers the holes?

Link below shows dimension of rear (trunk) DSM emblem. That ebay emblem looks like 3 diamond pcs that you put together like a puzzle. Not a one piece

i spray painted my emblem matte black and put it back on. i also spray painted the "GALANT" black and managed to turn it into "AJ" and put it back on. The chrome trim and emblem on my grill is also black now :)
