8G Shocks and spings in 7G

Can you put 8G springs and shocks into the 7G, as far as I'm aware the arms and the rest of the suspension is the same. So other than the 8G being heavier and likely heavier springs is there anything preventing 8G springs going in a 7G?

in my sig, at that time i had the rears of the 8g in the fronts.BUT 4g63lover and me weren't aware until afterwards. the front springs of the 8g are super big and it won't sit on the 7g perches.hope that helps.

I was more after how the struts fit? I'm thinking bout dropping the entire strut and spring from 8g in my 7g.
