    Question about Rotas...

Alright, I figure most of the regulars here have dealt with these wheels before.

Now, I plan on getting a set of Rota P-45R's, in satin black with a red lip.

    Specs: 18x9.5, 5x114.3, +30 offset.

    Any insight on these?

Believe it or not, it's for my Grand Am.

I test fitted my friend's set (these specs) and my car has the space due to the offset, and the tires I'll run (255/35 R18).

More or less, I'm more concerned about the quality of Rotas, since nobody in the Grand Am crowd has ever rocked Rotas, or such an aggressive wheel, but it can work.

These ones I'm looking at came off an Evo, haha.

I mean, I'm not gonna track the car at all, so I really shouldn't have to worry about rim failure.

To boot, if I get these Rotas, the Galant will see use of my 17x8 ROH Adrenalin's currently on my Pontiac.

Tons of Honda and 240 guys rock them... I haven't heard anything bad about them.

You know how shitty Konig's are? well, they're not Konig wheels.

I'm not a fan of the red lip, but if you like'm, get'm!!!

    Rota's are good wheels.

Thank you for the input. =]

The more I see them, the I want. The offset is what makes them pop on my car.

FYI bro there are just as many bad tails about rota's as there are about Konigs. I have been rocking Konig heliums for over a year now with no problem no cracks or damage at all. I don't think that they are bad wheels they just aren't the best and any chance people get to flame them they do. If I had the money I'd buy a set of Rota's just because they offer a lot of sizes and offsets and I can't afford a set of $2000 wheels for my $963 car. I say if you like them go for it. Like I said I have the infamous heliums and they doing fine.

Rota is just another knock-off company. I personally wouldnt support a company only produces wheels that are copies of original designs but thats just me. If you only need wheels to drive around in, they are fine for that purpose

How much are you getting them for? For probably the same price you can get some used Rays wheels for the same price and they will be better quality. Hell even im selling a set for half off but it seems like everyone is broke or lowballing.

My buddy is selling them for $450 w/o tires. I don't want his tires anyway, since his car is stanced, he's running stretched tires. No thank you. (215/35 R18 on a 18x9.5 rim. He's nuts lol)

I'll be using a 255/35 R15 tire with these wheels.

My Pontiac is no track car. I just like making my grocery getter good looking. =P

Here's a pic of the test fit on my own car, if anyone is interested:

And my buddy's Mazda3 on which they're currently on:

He bought these from an Evo VIII owner.
