CAI issue...MAF?

Installed the AEM CAI last night. Test drove it afterwards, no SES light, drove fine. This morning, the g/f calls me and says the idle is funky, but accelerates normal. The SES light is now on.

I have this odd feeling I re-installed MAF backwards...if anyone has a reference pic. I never snapped any pics myself during the install last night.

did you hook up the breather hose from the crank case to the intake nipple? That will cause you to idle funky

I believe if everything is ok. You need to reset the PCM. Since you have more air coming in the MAF and intake. SO. Reset PCM, disconnect neg terminal for 5 to 10 min. Let it idle for 14 min. And drive the car for a few miles.

oh and if the aluminum adaptor is facing the filter side of the intake, then its installed correctly

Yeah, the adapter is facing the throttle body. I have an OBDII scanner at home, I'll pull codes and reset the SES.

The adapter should meet the filter.

I'm just going by memory, I but I think I installed it that way.

That's what I get for installing a CAI after a nine hour day at the shop.

Just waiting on the g/f to text me a pic of the intake for verification, I really hope it's just in need of a PCM reset.
