    60mm Throttle Body

    Hey everyone,

I am looking to do minimal performance mods to my car. I have read about the 60mm TB swap for some added performance. Does anyone have or know of anyone that has an already customized 60mm TB for the 7G? I dont have the time nor proper equipment for the customizing of the TB. Thanks.

    AJ

What is too big, the bolt pattern or just not enough material on manifold? I want 65 or bigger.

Bolt pattern is the same. Just not enough material on the 7G IM port match.

So any mods needed other than gasket matching to use the 1g man with 65 or 70 tb with 7ga sohc.

May need an adapter/spacer to use it. The 65mm TB is kind of useless on a 7G SOHC. Have you seen my JDM Cyclone IM with an adapter for the 6G74 TB?

You either have to wire up the 1g IAC or modify the IAC to fit the 60mm throttle body.

All of this is why I have been too lazy to install mine. I have a 60mm 1G that should be installed...eventually

It takes only about an hour to swap to a 60mm throttle body and modify manifold if you have a $20 air grinder. I rewired the iac and ran it for an hour and it sucked so I simply disconnected that wire from iac and it has worked just fine ever since.

I just have the IAC hook up to avoid the CEL; its just hanging in the engine bay. No idle issues except for the AC.

Well the 6G74 IAC could not clear the Cyclone IM so I had to remove it.
