    New Here

    Hey guys,

My name's Brian and I just picked up a Galant.

    It's a 1999 ES auto 2.4L with 262,XXX on the clock and a sunroof!

The guy I bought it from was the original owner and has every receipt for everything he's had done to the Galant.

The body is a little rough considering the fact that it was a daily driver.

I have big plans for this little guy.

I just bought front rotors and pads, thermostat, plugs and wires.

Here's what i'd like to do in the future,

    -bright red paint job
-nice set of wheels (most likely Tenzo DC-6's)
-Megan racing drift spec exhaust (unless someone has a better suggestion)
-lower it, either on springs or coilovers (not sure yet)
    -turbo (gotta love boooooost)
-lip kit (haven't found many, maybe someone can make a suggestion)

As you can see the list isnt too big (yet). I'm sure you guys can help point me in the right direction.

Yes I know how to use the search button lol

    However, I do have 1 question, will a 7G 1997 hood fit on my 8G 1999?

A little about me and my car history,

    I'm 6'7" lol

I currently own my Galant as well as a 1986 Toyota 4Runner with 275,XXX on the clock.

I used to own a lowered Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 custom turbo.

    I had a 400+ hp Camaro.

I am not foreign to working on cars, glad to be joining this community!

    -Brian

Wow you are tall as sh*t! But welcome anyway man. I think you have to copy and paste the image code outta photobucket to post pics. Thats how i do it. Were you from?

Ugh, nice wheels and Tenzo don't belong in the same sentence.

welcome to TGC!!! whereabout u from?

Thanks for the welcomes guys! I'm from Eastern PA (Lehigh Valley) but I frequent Jersey. About the wheels, you got me there, Tenzo's aren't "the best" wheel out there but they aren't bad either. About posting photos, I know how to, I'm big on Yotatech and Newtiburon, but my phone won't open up photobucket for whatever reason... I'll try again.

    Welcome!

Magnaflow sounds best from all the exhaust clips I've listened too, and it's what I'm going with myself.

Post some pics of the Galant! There's a lot to do with these cars as I've quickly found out.

I'd have a good high flow resonator or glasspack for good measure. Keep the rasp down and add a nice deep tone.

An 18" or 20" would be perfect, IMO.

I plan on using the Magnaflow muffler, glasspack, and sticking with the stock 2.25" pipe size. Even if I add a header down the road, I should still have minimal rasp.

    Did someone called my name?

For the Megan Drift exhaust, there's a cheaper alternative floating around ebay which cost $120 shipped. It's the exact replica of the Megan's never had a problem with it so far (1 1/2+ years).

And I would love to see a pic of you in the car. I'm 6'3 and barely hitting the ceiling.
