The one from the dealer is gonna cost you an arm and a leg. How many miles was on it?

    120

  11. #11

You're really not giving a lot of information to the guys that are trying to help you possibly save some money. You aren't even answering some questions.

I would get the engine inspected. However, see the problem there is the labor cost in tearing down the engine to inspect for failure. If you want a good quality engine, with a good warranty. You need to buy it from Jasper Engines. They provide a 3yr/75000 mile warranty. But, remember this doesn't include sensors, the cylinder head, intake manifold, or other related components. And like the others said...what happened? Does the engine even attempt to crank over? Have you had a compression test done on all cylinders?

    Is your SES light on?

  16. #16
It sounds like it could be the crankshaft sensor to me

  17. #17
i will have it check out again thanks before i spend alot of money

Yea if you have to do that. When my car wasnt moving at all when i put it in gear it would make a really loud noise especial when i hit the gas i thought i was my tranny but turned out i had broke only my drive shaft axle. Saved alot of money i didnt have

Man that "Engine starts but cuts out" don't phase me no more after 205k. Iv'e went through intake manifolds, crank sensor, tps, IAC. I would first find out what's really wrong before you go and get another motor.

    You got any codes?
Anything visibly wrong under the hood?
Does your car have gas? LOL.
