Oil build up on exhaust manifold bolts.

There's a pretty constant oil leak coming from the engine, and I'm not to sure where it's coming from. One thing I did notice is that the bolts from the exhaust manifold are covered in oil and all gunked up. Seems like fresh oil too. The engine from that point all the way down has oil on it.

Does anyone know the problem?

Replace your valve cover gasket.

I've done that before, a couple of years ago. Every thing seems to be clean all the way around. I was careful not to bend or man handle it, but I'll take another look.

A lot of people make the mistake of really tightening those bolts down they are just supposed to be snugged a bit. I think somewhere around 30 inch pounds is all.
