My newest mod to my car was to hook up my iPhone 4 to my Pionner AVH6800. I did it for a few reasons. Just in case I wanted the people in the back of the car to check out a Video. I could you hook up my phone to my head unit and they could view it. It was really easy to set up.
1. I Jailbroke my iPhone and installed Display Out via Cydia.
Display Out shows evey that is displayed on your iPhone on other screens.
2. I bought a APPLE COMPOSITE AV by Apple. I paid $20.00 a few months back. The cable I bought was OEM.

3. Hook up the coonections to your Head unit and your all set.

Just in case you wondering. You can Only control the sceen by touching the iPhone. You cannot use the Pioneer touch screen.

Cool stuff, but if you have the AV out cable, won't it display videos without jailbreaking, I mean that's what the cable is for, right? Just wondering, I never hooked up the video cable to my iPhone before.

Yes thats correct. You can watch Videos with the AV cable out. I wanted everything to be mirrored. I wanted emails, text, and the Springboard to show up on my screen instead of having a blank screen. So the only way to do that is be installing Display out on Cydia. I dont mind the Jailbreak I dont like my iPhone stock.Originally Posted by wetamup2k3g

Ahh, makes sense. If there's anything I don't like about the iPhone, it's that you have to jailbreak it to get the full usage out the thing. Nice setup bruh!

Question... I have a pioneer double din and the dang thing won't work... I connect it to all the right connectors and only the tweeters work.. i have an 07 galant with the premium sound and was wondering if anyone has put in a radio in the place of the 6 cd changer that was there. Its literally just sitting in my room all sad like. lol
