Only 1200? Thats with labor and parts? My first question is what parts did they put in for you?
Well last week while driving on the highway, my timing belt broke. I'm on 178,000 miles and had last replaced it at 90,000 so I guess I was a little overdue. They put a new belt, tensioner, water pump, gaskets, crank shaft positioning sensor and all A/C plus alternator accessory belts were also replaced. There were some bent valves and no compression on one of the cylinders so the head had to be removed and sent to a machine shop. All in all, the joke cost me $1200.

Yeah, that was for everything, parts and labor. Timing belt kit, water pump, Cranshaft sensor, gaskets, all accessory belts and valves fixed
Was that an ok price?
Well, if they used OEM parts (not from the jy), I'd say they gave you adv price. Where are you from?

For LA I believe those prices are reasonable, do you know what parts they put in for you?
