    More wiring problems

    Hey guys,

So after fixing the previous wiring problem I had last week, the car started and ran fine until today. Today, I took out the distributor for inspection. I replaced the rotor, and reinstalled the distributor, and the car started and ran fine.

Half an hour later, it started raining and I ran outside to roll up the windows. When I put the key in the ignition and turn it to "ON", the key chime dims down and the lights on the dashboard all dim as well. I cannot roll up the windows or start the engine. This happens even if the coil is unplugged.

Any ideas? And I find it slightly weird that if I do have another short somewhere, I'm not blowing any fuses. I noticed last night that my lights were dimming and flickering slightly at idle. Above 1500+ RPM the alternator puts out enough current for the flickering to go away.

(sighs) Wiring problems are such hair pulling experiences. Any suggestions are appreciated in the finding and capturing of the phantom under my hood!

^^^I was being an idiot, and I had forgotten to tighten the negative terminal on the battery. Obvious mistakes FTW!!!

I think it took longer to write that than figure out the problem. LoL.

That is the kind of problems we all should have; easy to diagnosis and fix.
