LEDs on the outside of the car (as in underneath and behind the grilles) are rice.

    1) sell the LEDs
    2) save up for CAI, header and catback exhaust
    3) ??????

    Profits

Stop judging him and offer cheap mods. Clearing heads, debadging, changing bulbs, changing shifters, etc are all cheap mods.

Nobody was judging him, just offering opinions.

cheapest intial mod in my opinion, buy a MAF adapter and a cone air filter, also grab some cleaner (and oil conditioner if the filter requires it) for the filter
as well as a slight increase in power, it should add a bit more fuel economy

He was asking what to do with his LED strips to make use of them. Not ask for ur opinion on if they are tacky or hip or not. The guy wants to mod on a budget. If u can't be helpful and useful why say shit at all?

Debadging costs pretty much nothing at all.

Fishing line, Goo-Gone, and some polishing compound. But IIRC, the OP has the chrome garnish on the trunk...dunno how easy it is to debadge the chrome surface.

Solution for LED strips (I wouldn't call it tacky). Foot-well lighting (IMO nice touch), Much needed glove-box light, and better than crappy stock light for trunk. I did the foot-wells by simply zip-tying a light strip facing down to some existing harnesses on the drivers side. Everywhere else used the 3M tape backing of it. Glove box has a pin to turn light off when closed. These may look a bit blue or purple but that's just the camera, in person they look like 6000k HID's.

    where you get those strips?
i was gunna say why is everyone giving this guy a hard time, damn, we were all new at some point just remember that.

i agree though dont ever put led strips on the exterior although i dont think you were considering that anyway... just throw them inside where you need light at.

debadging is also a good thing to do and free. as someone else already stated.

other than that there isnt much you can do for cheap... remove pinstripe if you have it and dont like it.

check craigslist regularly for good deals on suspension and wheels :D

    and wash it real good!

How much is "cheap" to you? 10$ 50$ 100$ 500$ 1000$? Only "free" or 10$ mods are taking things off/out your car. Then theres 50$-100$ mods like repaint/fabricating your interior, HIDs, black housing heads (properly), tint tails and windows, 100$-500$ is like your body parts and some engine components (intake, headers) kits and rims (cheap), 500$+ are usually your performances. Not all mods are like this but its in this general rule of thumb.

I'm in the process of doing rear foot-wells, wires are there, it was just hard trying to position them with the seat sliders and whatnot. And no leave MMC, if you don't like it I'll take it off your hands LOL.
