    How to remove front seats

I am trying to get the stock infinity amp put and it seemsbi need to get thw whole seat out. I can get the 2 front screws out but not the rears. The rears are round shape so there has to be another way. Any ideas?? I tried searching and found nothing

The rears should also be hex-head bolts as well. Do you have any pictures?

It's very simple to remove seat. IIRC it's 4 14mm bolts. Much easier than trying to struggle underneath it. IDK bout you but I have a cordless impact so removing it is a snap. Even with ratchet only take a minute or two.

yup 14mm bolts.. and the amp is just screwed in with like 3 normal screws, its not hard to get out.

I know what you are talking about. These are some "anti theft" bolts that Mitsubishi Puerto Rico installed to their cars around the 2000 model year era (along with etching the vin number to all glass and the crappy alarm system). I removed mine by grinding them down almost to the seat track with a dremel and cutting discs, then I was able to unscrew them. You will need new bolts after that. Good luck!

Post a picture of them, I would like to see what these 'anti-theft' things look like.

I would think he's talking about these kind of bolts:

We have these bolts on the interior of the trains I work on so passengers can't mess with stuff, Harbor Freight has a screwdriver bit set that has all kinds of bits to remove those kind of screws for less than $10, I use it whenever I gotta change carpet or floorboards, which thankfully hasn't had to happen in more than a year.

    This is my kit:

My 3g parts car has those, they are metal, you'll need to do as HondaKiller said grind them all the way down.

Then use regular Nut and bolt afterwards.

Just cut a slot in them with the dremel, then back them out with a 90 degree screwdriver if you need extra torque.

I was just about to suggest the same thing. It works very well. Work with removing stripped head screws as well.
