Looks good, I always like that lip more than the mugen lip. Finless grille, paint, drop, wheels, and youre good! ;)
If you go for the 8Gb bumper, I would cut out the nose off and put a 8Ga grille in its place. Would look tits!

Installed a DE grill. Looks awesome!

Then, the cat-back and headers came in. Figured I'd throw on the cat-back today =)
    - 3" piping all the way back. Restricted to 2.5in at the muffler.

    Before:

    After:

I was doing some sound test with different mufflers. Decided to use a magnaflow muffler in combination with the n1 setup. Sounds like a suby!

$250 for headers and cat-back. Just bought it off ebay because I didn't feel like making my own bends again lol. Ebay member is like D5 something (D5concepts?) But just for your fyi.

It was made for the 3g eclipse I4, I had to extend the pipe in 2 spots (one at the cat and one at the muffler).

OOOOOOh, I see. I was aiming for freeing up some HP with my setup, but mainly going for a nice tone, and keeping interior drone to a minimum. I planned on just using an 18" glasspack, and a Magnaflow muffler in place of the stock one, and keeping the stock 2.25" pipping. Worth it? Or better off with a complete catback?

definitely get a cat-back! They are premade with the correct bends (mine was) and will be easy to add a fiberglass glasspack. The old exhaust will be all rusted up anyway and provides no benefit in keeping the same size lol.

I could see increasing in size...but 2.25" is a decent size for an N/A four cylinder...and considering all I have is a CAI on my 8G...and that's all that will be done, would it really make that big of a difference without a tune?

no, probably just enough difference to be noticeable. But if you're messing with the exhaust, might as well do the whole thing instead of just a piece. Idk really up to you though, the cat-back is so inexpensive though.

Well, depending on the price of the Magnaflow muffler, and labor from the Mieneke I know...maybe a cat-back will happen.

Thing is, interior drone is a deal breaker. Let me know how loud it is from the inside.

Doesn't matter, it restricts back down to 2.5 at the muffler.

I thought it did because of the loss of back pressure. I remember when I put a 2.5" exhaust on my Sunbird with a 2.0L 4cyl, I lost a lot of low end torque but gained some HP on the top end.

hmm... Well I can say it feels like it has more than it did. If not, it sounds like it ;)

anyway, I hope when I put the header on, it doesn't change the sound to rasp.

The header is going to take away your deep tone and depending if you have a nice cat and resonator will determine how raspy it sounds. Mines needs some work after i get a better seal at the header/ cat itll probably sound better like it did before plus with a 72 TB.

Afraid of that lol... I'll do the headers closer to springtime. I love the power and sound it has right now.
