    Custom Dual Exit!

So today I decided to not buy an 09 WRX that I've been drooling over and waiting for it to get traded in at the dealership. Instead I went out and ordered a Vibrant High Flow Cat and 2 6"x14" Magnaflow mufflers. They will be installed on Tuesday with a custom bent 2.5" exhaust pipe that will split and end with a muffler on each side. I will be posting before and after pics, as well as a before and after video. Also decided to buy an Injen Short Ram intake that will hopefully be here in a week or so. Next purchase will be Megan headers (unless anyone has any other good options they could let me in on). I'm doing this to a 2001 ES V6 btw. I feel like a little kid waiting for Xmas, I can't wait for Tuesday!

Sounds good, you should see some mild/moderate gains from that. It'll sound alot different for sure...

keep the piping above the rear cross-member in order to maintain ground clearance, especially if you are planning on lowering the car.

Wait a minute, you passed up an opportunity to land a WRX?!?

Hey, Ill always have a place in my heart for Mitsu, but why would you pass up on a WRX to buy "performance" mods for the Galant?

Yeah the guy doing the pipes for me said he was doing that so that I wouldn't have that exact problem.

The problem would have been the price, and not even affording it, just the fact that I would have been paying more than I should have. Since my car was free I'll get some of what I put in back out just because I'll be fixing problems in the process of fixing it up, so by the time I'm done the car will be worth something if only just Good Condition on KBB

A car is almost never worth more just because it's modded.

    Just saying ;)

I however don't like the WRXs but I would much rather prefer a turbo than none lol

Very true, but in its current condition its worthless without body work, so the money i put into correcting the car will benefit me in the long run, anything after that such as performance will just be worth it for my own satisfaction.

Camera's mic isn't that good, its muffles loud sounds, but you can kinda get an idea of what it sounds like, next will be an Injen Short Ram intake coming in next week, then headers in a couple months. What do you guys think?

Yeah soon, but most are surprisingly expensive, I want something clean looking and not glossy, maybe even black.

sounds raspy. u took out the main resonator? it's only gonna get worse if you get headers... the main resonator is what removes that raspy sound, you should think about adding one back in whether stock or aftermarket.

Sounds good, tips will def set off the look. Maybe you should cut-out the drivers side to look like passener side, would look better IMO. $800 sounds kind of pricey to me though...

yeah it does sound high. as far as i can see, it was cat back piping, 2 mufflers, passenger side cut-out and some hangers... <$500 since there are no tips or in-depth body work involved.
