I'd run a 225/45 R17 or 235/45 R17 tire. Wider contact patch, and the sidewall is a bit meatier, so a bit less stress on the rims.

The Enkei RS5 was never made in anything wider than a 17x7.5, (most were 17x7"). As Reelax stated, 225/45R17 would be the recommended sizing. But you could also run these sizes:

    205/50R17
    215/50R17

yea ive run both those sizes before, ive also run the 225/50/17 and they looked sweet.

no wheel gap all the way around with those bitchs!

225/50r17 is too tall. ideally u want to stay +-2% of stock circumference/diameter to maintain suspension geometry and not add undue strain to the transmission/drive-line. that's why RED did not suggest it. my first answer may have seemed very short, but it was concise.

they will physically fit but still are a little too tall... ideally you want to stay within 2% of your original tire's rolling circumference when buying tires (for stock size wheel and/or plus sizing).

i'll spare you the math but here are the final circumference numbers:

since you have a v6 your stock tire was:

    205/55r16 = circumference is 78.2" (diameter is 24.9")

    225/45r17 = circumference is 78.5" (diameter is 25") = +0.4%
    225/50r17 = circumference is 81.2" (diameter is 25.9") = +3.9%

it's not a big over size but you asked for the "best tire size" and that's the answer i gave you.
