    Galantboost_daily driver project

So for all those who know me or for those who done...I have a 1997 galant which I brought last december and I have finally started moving on the track to making it a moving project.

So it has been a week since I made the car 5 spd thanks to Galanttuner1 and Bronxbombr for helping me. So he is some of the pictures from the swap which actually took us 2 weeks to get done due to the fact that both axles got stuck and most of the bolts were seized up.

this is some of the parts i had...i brought a stock clutch....

the car is sitting up on the jack stands

After about 2 weeks of on and off working due to rain and my weird work schedule the trans was finally put in

the master cylinder is set in and ready to go...and finally the stock brake pedal is out n been thrown to the side.

my twin bro is here drinking a beer...lol had to throw in a random pic

after the first day of working the master cylinder and pedal were all in

after a whole night of working trying to get the axles out and the trans dropped we finally got it out after like 3 hours with like 5 guys lol and the nite ended with my bro losing a finger nail to the auto trans...but it was worth it cause it is finally gone...this pic is from the morning a few days later

clutch fork, pivot ball and throwout bearing is being put in

OKay after 2 weeks of on and off work due to the rain and my weird work schedule the 5 spd trans was finally put in

The car is finally done and has been running for a week...it pulls so hard I love the 5 spd...just need to wire up my reverse lights and do some small adjustment but other than that the car runs like a dreamn =]

this might be a slow project but next up will be the strut bar and I have to get rid of that stock intake lol but this is my first step and i will keep everybody posted.

    lol random pic
    yes going panda lol

I hear so many people say they love 5 speed, but I'm nervous that I would enjoy it for 2 weeks then get sick of it

    nice work so far though

Congrats on your 5 speed swap.

Ill never get tired of a manual transmission every time i think about jumping into a auto i think about the average american and then other countries where a manual makes sense to call it a actual standard! shifting gears and clutching feels like first nature i do it with out even realizing.

Okay its time to for an overdue update guys...apparently over the winter i didnt do any work because working on the cold streets of new york isnt fun...but well here is the additions to my car

the new strut bar has been added which is looking a great look

and finally added the intake after having to find random bolts for the maf adapter which took forever lol

hopefully i can get some ngk spark plug wires next and do some suspensions i hope

Even if upside down, still looking good.
