rear brake swap question 2003 galant

researching this and got my wires crossed. I have a set of rear brakes from a 96 sebring lxi (disk). I was researching and made some notes that these were compatible for a 2003. But I was on the 7g thread, now that I am looking again.

So anyway I want to confirm that these will not work on a 2003 galant.

and then, If so, I guess I will head over to see if anyone wants to buy a set of rear disk brakes.

It is too bad, they are in really good shape, and I am having a time finding a galant with rear disk, or any eclipse that I can steal from.

    thanks

Not sure if the Sebring brakes will work, but on an 8G, 1997-2004 (2G) Diamante rear discs work also, to help broaden your search.

Based off of car-part.com search results, they should fit.

they will fit, the 7g/2g/8g/3g as well as sebrings and stratus use the same rear brake setups

thanks for the info, I thought they looked damn close, but close doesn't count when trying to get them shoved on there.

I did some part number checks on the hub / rotor / caliper and they seem to be the same numbers.

I took the entire e-brack cable up to the handle, but I don't think the length will work on that. Will check to see, would be nice to not have to drill/notch the back plate. But getting the cable plumbed up to the center console isn't easy either.
