    Custom coilovers?

So I'm not 100% sure what a coilover is but I think it's a term to explain a complete spring and shock strut together. If so how hard is it to get my own springs and struts and install them I'm under the impression that coil overs are simply remove bolts and install.

    1. How difficult would it be to get springs and struts separately and put then together.

    Or

How hard are they to install in general.

A coilover is suspension part you can use instead of struts and springs. If you put a strut and a spring together it's not a coilover. With coilovers you can also adjust the height. You can get springs from Tein, Progress, Megan, and Eibach and you can get some struts from kyb. Coilovers are going to be more expensive than lowering springs and I know Tein, D2, K-Sport, and Megan make some for the galant. You can also search for 00-05 eclipse parts since it shares the same suspension as the 8th gen galant.
