    checking codes

i have a 90 sohc and would like to know where you check codes for the ecu? after retrieving the codes where do i go to find out what they are?
my ce light went on yesterday for the few minutes as i was getting the car smoged. my hc was just over the allowable limit. as soon as i left the smog station the ce light went off. i just dont understand why.

the data link connector is right by the fuse panel.

and if you plan on doing any of your own service work to your car, you outta grab a factory manual. Its the best source of info youre gonna get.

I think the best thing to do is take the car to any Mitsubishi service - they should chek the codes and tell you whats wrong. This is quick job and they shouldn't charge you for that - at least they didn't charge me. They charged me later, when they fixed my alternator which was almost dead.

    God luck!
