    Can a 96 talon provide 5 speed swap parts for a 7g?

Will the parts (trans, clutch, pedal assembly, shifter base, etc) from a 96 talon work for a 5 speed swap in a 7g?

That's great. I thought it would work but wasn't sure. I've got a line on one locally with a blown headgasket and body damage. Hoping to pick it up for the price of scrap but only time will tell. Waiting to hear back from the owner. He's been trying to unlaod it for a few months now. Claims the trans was rebuilt shortly before the motor cooked itself. I've a 95 ES with a bad auto that is just begging for a swap. Thanks for the confirmation, jjj

You can use ALL the transmission related parts off a 2g (transmission, clutch slave and master cylinder, lines, pedal assembly, shifter cables, mount, etc) on your 7g. Though you have to obviously make sure its a 4G motor equipped 2g...if its a 420a motor, you can't.

If its a 420A then just get the pedals, shifter and master cylinder
God created turbo lag to give the v8's a brief moment of hope.
