    Retrofitting

    Every time i see a BMW i like the Angel that they have and always wanted to put that on my car, apparently someone told me that they would need to retrofit my car, now there's also HID projector retrofitting. Can someone please explain to me what i would need, and where to order them? Also provide recommendation or pictures?

    Hey bud, im currently in the middle of a retrofit on my eclipse.

    The basics: what is retrofitting? Well basically its taking a projector, xenon or halogen, and making it fit in your stock headlights.

    What you need:
    2 bi-xenon projectors- you need bixenon so you retain your highbeams.
    2 ballast- those are what powers the bulbs
    2 bulbs- the bulb type depends on what the projector is. Most vehicles with oem hiss like MB or BMW use a d2s bulb
    Relay harness- it helps protects your electrical system.

    Www.TheRetrofitSource.com That site should fill you in with all the info needed. You can also order all the things you need from there. I suggest ordering the morimoto mini h1 kit. Its a real simple retrofit that requires little to no cutting. Yes, I said little to no cutting. Perfect for beginners.

    Www.hidplanet.com This forum is full of people who retrofit.

    If you do retrofit, please post pics, In the next couple weeks I'll be getting some headlights and projectors to do one myself. You may be among the first to do one on a 9G, I can't find an example to lead you to so you can see what it involves. Good luck!

    They are pretty amazing projectors especially for your early morning commutes.
