Yellow overlays AND 3000k HIDS ????

I just ordered 3000k HIDS for my fogs but now I'm regretting the decision because I like the look of the yellow overlays. What do you guys think about using both the 3000k HIDS AND the overlays? Just looking for opinions :)

I would put the 3k's on and see how you like it first. Hids can melt the overlays, also with overlays it may come out to the color of concentrated tiger piss

Yellow hids sometimes has a bit of green to it. So be warned.

For yellow bulbs, I've ran the Luminics JDM yellow bulbs for close to two years. Good quality stuff AND I like the color it produced. Id say close to the lexus is300 yellow fogs that use a yellow capsule.

IMO yelloy overlays or colored glass is Fugly. Not trying to start a riot. I prefer a clear lens and then by surprise your hids light up in yellow. Just my 2 cents. And they might melt, i have a digital thermometer that works by infrared and once when I came home from a 20 minute drive I placed it rigjteon the surface and the temp was over 150 F.

you can run you fogs parallel with the running lights, thats how mine are.

Carl mine have no green to them, they do when they are warming up but not after. Also during the burn in time they do have a hint of green. Ill post a nighttime warm up video tonight i think.

Yikes, I personally wouldnt run 55w in fogs but for the sake of the question vic, id say 3k. I know that the higher the watt, it washes out the color. For example, 8k @ 55w would look like 6k. I cant imagine any thing else giving a 3k look besides 3k if that makes sense lol

Im guessing your running something that is not ebay lol DDM? Alot of the cars here that run the 3k hids have some green to it. Not perfectly yellow, just a smidge of green.
