    newb in from north east PA

    my bf actually has an account on here, and the car is his....for the moment...in the coming weeks it'll be finely tailored to my liking, and will indeed be..mine...*well OURS....but...MINE in a sense of possession lol*

    so a smidgen about me i suppose, i was a chevy blazer fan, but due to them sucking for gas and my most recent sell off a 2dr...very impractical with the baby's carseat...and i've been looking at cars for the last month....the bf just said...why dont you let me fix up the galant to your liking and it can be yours...so..i figure in the long run it MIGHT save some $, not sure much though...its still a v6 which i was trying to get out of...even found a few nice 4cyl 4dr galants, and or diamante's..which i liked...but eh...i can't complain i'm getting a car fixed up for my self and the daughter out of love...and i'll have my freedom back lol...not having to borrow the bf's car when i want to go out or we have an appt some where.

    i guess i steered off course there....k i'm 27, live in lackawanna Co. pa, this is my first CAR..*as i said i've always felt safer in an SUV and only ever had suv's* i have an 8m old daughter *you'll see pics eventually lol* i'm originally born and raised Canadian, but moved to PA 8 years ago. and that about sums it up...

    Welcome to TGC! Nice to see another NEPA member!

    Any pics of the car? What needs fixing? Awesome to have another local member here. The v6 really isn't bad on gas, it may surprise you, obviously plenty of power.

    If the timing belt/water pump hasn't been changed yet, I recommend you have some one do that for you before you consider it a reliable car.

    Just to let you know, no Diamantes came with 4-cylinders. The 3.0 V6 can be economical if you don't abuse the throttle. Good luck and welcome!
