    to each his own
not hitting one anyone here but I just did two 3g's with the stock infinity amp and with stock speakers and it sounded just fine, granted I cant tune it I had enough control from the deck it self

You guys crack me up lol I'm not smashing on anyone I'm just being silly. But most new head units have 50+ watts so the need for a stock amp is just pointless that alli meant. Jl's are very nice I just prefer solo's

I think oakrdrs was against a stock amp from another system, using the stock Infinity amp with its speakers isn't so bad. I didn't feel like rewiring all my speakers so I let it stay and for what I like, it does great with no distortion.

Yeah thats what he was going as sets just say a mitsu infinity speaker is rated for its amp, when you put a amp that was not designed for those speakers it is a downgrade.

Like everyone said im not against a set up like this, you are dealing with a 3G with an amp designed for 6x9 in back, 6.5" mids and tweeters wired in series to a 3" center channel, I had that in my3G and it was nice.

Its when you mismatch shit that you are doing it wrong. Its not until you listen to a true SQL audio system that you realize what is clean and what is crap. I admit that in all my years working in the field I have had to lie to a few dudes for how crappy there shit was.

What are your goals? Will you be adding subs and amps, component speakers? You should base your decision on what else u will be installing with the radio

All sony audio doesn't suck IMO.
