    Herro TGC

    Hey so i came across this site because i was looking up info on how to fix my car stereo. -Thanks TGC- and i LOVELOVELOVE my Galant -its a 2000 v6 3.0L- and shes named Victoria. kinda cheesy name for a car. My Galant has plenty of problems, and it needs a lot fixes and changes. Main reason why i decided to join is because i want to learn more about cars, and getting my hands dirty. In the future i want to do an engine swap, atm im looking for a vr4 to put in my galant. and im hoping to throw up some pics as well so you all can see what im working with.

    Welcome to TGC! Most common engine swaps for the 8G V6 are the 6G74 swap (3.5L Diamante motor) and the 6G75 swap (3.8L 4G Eclipse and 9G Galant motor). Besides sourcing a 6A13TT motor (2.5L twin-turbo 8G VR4 motor, found overseas) I'm not sure how easy they fit in our USDM engine bays since the frames are slightly different.
