    Forged 6G75 number #2

    I already have a forged 6G75 in my 380GT.

May as well make it TWO forged 6G75's...LOL

I'll find another car deserving of it....

Picked this up from a guy who lost interest in finishing it.

It is forged with Wiseco pistons,
bored out from 3.8 to 3.9L.
    Stiffer valve springs,
    Adjustable cams,
    Ground more agressive cam profile,
    Nitrided crankshaft,
    Arp bolts and rods.

Just have to put it back together with a new water pump and belt.

(and a few other small bits and pieces)

    $$$$$$$$

Did you have to do the measurements yourself when ordering a custom set of pistons? I want to be able to send them a piston and have them replicate it but only forged instead lol. Is that possible? I'm just hoping you know.

Going to be an awesome build though!

On my first engine the pistons were custom made for the bore.

On this second engine the bore was machined to match the supplied pistons.

If your engine is very low miles you can send a piston, but if the bore needs more than just a hone you will need to match the bore to the pistons, usually bore a bit bigger.

Interested to see what car you put this motor into. A boosted 6g75 mirage would be pretty quick if you can get traction.

    Most likely a 380..
I also entertained the thought of throwing a 6g7 in a mirage myself came pretty close to getting a coupe but the guy flaked out on me at the last minute :(

I have one of these, am thinking of maybe putting it in there.

    http://www.tmraustralia.com.au/tmr380.php

LSD already in it, just needs more boost, only has 6.5 psi.

I want it on 12 psi like my other daily, gotta forge it to do that.

Then again I have a spare 380 with a manual transmission thats having a dual turbo kit made up for it at the moment, maybe in there..

    So many options...

ah so you got tysons engine. how much did you pick it up for, feel pretty sorry for him as you must have picked it up for much less than what he'd paid so far.

    I paid a fair price.

Paid $6k ...cost him over $9k

(he got absolutely ripped off for the stock engine, he should have got the entire 380 wreck for what he paid just for the engine)

Would the auto trans be able to handle the power? Is the 380 trans the same as the 3.8 and 3.8 mevic

Just because something is old, doesn't mean you throw it away
