For the love of all that is not tacky, stay away from bright colors. Our little two pot calipers aren't worth drawing attention to.

That said, I used a brake caliper paint kit from Autozone on the 2-pots in my old Talon. I went with black and it looked fine years later when I traded it so I could build my Galant. Like any painting job the prep work is everything. I took a wire wheel to mine to clear off any grime and rust and then washed them thoroughly with degreaser before I painted them.

You understand powder coating requires a baking prosess.

For just normal two pot calipers, regular paint should suffice. Duplicolor makes a great ceramic paint kit. Most stores only carry red and black on hand, I'm not too sure of all the colors Duplicolor possibly offers through their distributors directly though.

as stupid as some might think.

why not go brembo's? easy enough conversion.

^^^Maybe it's the price tag that comes wit brembos? Shit ain't cheap yo!

because most brembos are around $500 to $600 for a set, AND you more than likely have to repaint them also, and THEN you need wheels and/or spacers to clear the wheel spokes. its not a simple bolt on and go kinda thing, well the calipers are, but the requirements aren't

Since you have them off you might as well try to powder coat

To powder coat them u need to buy a rebuild kit. And take the pistons out and seals and all.

Also for powder coat them u could use a toaster oven if u don't have a 220v hook up in your garage to accommodate a full size kitchen oven.

Up to which route u wanna go.

Here is a lil motivation for u.

The bracket was the very first piece I ever powder coated and I didn't spray enough on it so it was still texted. The color is wagon red

The breaker bar was my second part and came out much much nicer. The color is battleship grey.

Powdercoating isn't hard. Just time consuming.

G2 caliper paint kit (two coats, brushed on). Three years later and it still looks just as good.
