    I'm planning to tubo the 4g64 engine and was wondering how much horsepower the transmission could hold up? Would a 5sp or a/t strength differ?

    5 speed would hold up, ur automatic wont, i suggest getting either an eclipse turbo tranny or a levelten tranny

    Level Ten is shit, ive known guys with vr4 trans that got them rebuilt through them , about 4 times, then they went to www.roadmastertranz.com its a local shop around me, they do incredible work, do work for 9 second syclones and build their own stuff to YOUR, i repeat WHAT YOU WANT done, its cheap too, around 1800-2k for a beefed one. dont go level ten, i was going to go level 10 but its a nightmare for DSM owners and 3kgt vr4 owners.
