    Zac's 2000 Galant ES "Amaya"

What's up guys and gals. I picked up this car a few weeks ago due to my Integra getting stolen. I picked up the car for $700 and the motor needed to be replaced due to the PO blowing a headgasket and trying to run the car.

I've decided to go ahead and post up a build thread. It will be starting off slow but chances are pretty good I will be getting on at the plants with my sister when I get my TWIC card.

This is the general plan for the car for now:
    Interior/Exterior
    JDM Headlights
    JDM Front Bumper
    JDM Side Skirts
    JDM Rear Bumper
    JDM Tail Lights
    JDM Fender Flares
    JDM Liberal Grille
    JDM Rear Window Visor
    EVO Seats

    Suspension/Braking
    Tein S-Tech Drop Springs
    Rear Toe Control Arms
Megan Racing Front Lower Tie Bar
Megan Racing Rear Lower Tie Bar
    GTZ Sway Bar
    EVO Calipers
    Stainless Steel Brake Lines
    Slotted/Drilled Rotors
    Ceramic Brake Pads

    Intake/Exhaust
    Custom Cold Air Intake
    Megan Racing M-N1 Muffler
    Megan Racing Stainless Steel Headers

After the motor was replaced ($500 for the motor, $500 for labor with new gaskets/seals, spark plugs, wires, and a timing belt) the radiator ($130), water pump($75), thermostat($25), and lower hose went out.

    Then on to pics:

    First time seeing the car.

    More work to do.. Fun.

At home, tinted the tail lights and changed the oil.

Then chilling, working on a friends car. Brought him to TGC an d he is looking into modding his 9G.

Needs quite a bit of love. Gonna repaint? I barely see any sort of gloss on the paint. lol

The PO wrecked the car (obviously). I got a quote from a paint shop here in town and they quoted me $990 to repair and repaint the passenger fender and the hood, straighten out the radiator support frame and paint it flat black, then paint and install a new front bumper, grille, and headlights.
I'm thinking a JDM front end while I'm at it, anyone else feeling it?

My goal by the summer is to have the front end fixed and have her lowered. Maybe and hopefully some more JDM body parts like skirts and a read bumper. Gotta look good for the summer cruises am I right?

Why not do something different? JDM is nice & all but it's getting kind of boring IMO

I think it looks better than the USDM with a lip, and tons better than a body kit.

If it's any different I'm getting the VR4 front extensions with it.

Yeah, those. Debating on the rear extensions or not though.

Not tons better than a body kit, but w/e.

Please don't do flat black, no matter what you do, the car will always look like ass.

The USDM 8Gb front bumper with the ITR front lip looks really nice. That's always a nice alternative to the PFL JDM front bumper.
