    Line Out Converter installation help

I got this item, then noticed there's 4 wires total, kinda of threw me off. I am going to install this to run the RCAs to a MTX class D amp, which will power 1 10" sub. Do I have to tap BOTH of my rear speakers or just one since i am only running 1 sub?

And no, i don't have a speaker level or high level input on the amp unfortunately. I will be running a DVC 4 ohm sub wired down to 2 ohms, but i don't think MTX wants you to "bridge" the amp at 2 ohms, its a MTX TA 2301, I think i am supposed to just run off of one channel, so if i choose just one channel do i only connect to one rear speaker?

I'm no expert on these, but I would have thought if you only connect to one speaker, then you will miss boosting any of the relevent frequencies sent to the other speaker by the head unit (assuming it's stereo of course!) So worst case, if all bass on a track is sent to right speaker and you're connected to left speaker - then nothing to boost.
Maybe someone will know more than me, but hth.

you be fine with wiring to one speaker. subs run in mono not stereo some amps require you use a y splitter on there amps so the amp doesnt receive both right and left frequencies.

there are like no songs ive heard that send just bass to right or left side there are songs that send upper frequency's to right and left tho.

Which Doo Doo Brown, the Luke version or the original Frank Ski version (the better one)?

I know a couple songs have some alternating bass, but the majority don't. Before I got my splitter I ran my DVC sub with one coil getting the left channel and one coil getting the right channel to no adverse affect, but sending them one channel's sound is a better option.

its impossible to do this on a mono block amp. seeing as it only sends out a mono signal. only way to do what you just said is to have a 2 channel amp and wiring each coil to a channel.

^ either way it's the same sub. They way to do it would be to have to subs and wire one to each channel.

I thought that's what he was doing, wiring a DVC sub to a 2-ch amp.

No his amp is a mono block it is internally wired parallel. it appears to have 2 channels but only has one. They do this for multiple woofer setups.

To the OP Its impossible for you to bridge that amp.
