Similar thing happened up here recently. 4 college girls were killed after they crossed a median on the interstate and got blindsided.
They were in the Malibu (left).

WOW!!! My jaw dropped. That was crazy. The people inside must of shattered like the truck did. That's why I stay off highways or the road period if its snowing. RIP

Im sort of the same way depending on snow conditions. If its snowing really bad, I just stay inside unless there's good reason for me to leave but chances are, there's not.

I think I remember hearing about this a few weeks ago. It's too bad how things happen so quickly. This was the crash on I-94 near St. Cloud, right?

Yeah. Last time I did my daughter was stuck in Springfield on Halloween. We had a really bad snow which out of my 28 years of life never remember it ever snowing before Nov. Well with the leaves n everything still on the trees caused alot of issues. Downed trees power lines n blah blah. Anyways I had no choice but to go get her. It takes 20 min to go get her n this one time it took me 3 HOURS I seen alot of accidents trees down power lines. Never seen none of this before. Crazy shit. Snow is no joke.

proper tires and understanding of your are CRITICAL

i am excellent in the snow never crashed (knock knock)
but a lot of people should really stay home

and Tires , invest in a good set .my third day on the job
it snowed and i had to be to work before the plows was
out ..off i go i gotta be at work its 10 min flat all
interstate <with snow now so im up EARLY> even when
i hit black ice i know what my car gon' do and i know HOW
my tires will catch ! most loss of control snow accidents
i am convinced are from over correction even when a driver
feels they got it because they dont understand the slide
    patterns of there car..

R.I.P> for the lives known to be lost in these images .

    P.S. SNOW+BIG PARKING LOT=PRACTICE =)

AND THERE WERE MORE THAN FIFTEEN ACCIDENTS BY 9:AM

The Nissan Narvara (black pick up) that was in the accident got caught in a snowbank that can be seen in the video. Nissan made a fault in the production to this car/pickup to certain parts of Europe and Russia that was that it lacked both traction and stability control installed standard from the factory. It could be purchased as an additional upgrade package just like any other trim you choose on the purchase on your new car. While buyers flocked to dealer in Europe to purchase the Nissan Navara, the buyers felt that where it was possible to save a buck or two they did and so did the accidents that followed. Between the years 2006-2010 Nissan didn't have traction and stability control on the Navara but finally did.

Here is another video that is a holy shit moment:

Not that there's anything to like about this video, but I will say I liked when I saw the other vehicles including the cam car pull over to help the situation, rather than just drive off like alot of people do.
