Whats the name of this part?

right below the number 5, between alternator and damper/crank. my mechanic told me that i had to replace it asap and 3 months later something is starting to make a noise in the belts area like a squeel, this is the first thing am replacing. any ideas?

Your description doesn't sound too clear to me, since you're talking about the belt between the alternator and crank pulley, I assume you are looking for the tensioner pulley?

That would be labeled as 3. The tensioner pulley. I would remove the belt and check your pulleys to find out which bearings are going bad.

It is likely that the part that went bad is OEM, If you'd like another 10 years or so of no problems from it I would fork over the 68 and go OEM.

I replaced a similar part from rockauto once and it was $55, of another $15 I would go oem. Especially if you have a part# you can type it in at oemmitsubishiparts.com and get it a bit cheaper.
