    235/40Z/18

Can 235/40Z/18 fit on a stock 1999 es galant with nothing done to the suspension?? Because i have 235/45R/17 on my car now and they rub when someone gets in the back and i hit a bump. So could someone let me know the deal with that??

I would think so. If your 17's rub then the 18's will.

It says in your sig that your rims are 7x9, that is too wide for the galant and that is why you're rubbing in the back. 7.5 is the best width for the galant. Though you can get by with 8's if you want to go as wide as possible. But 9 is just a little too wide unless your offset is low, which would make the wheel stick out.
