ok i just went and found the mother of all ecu flashes, i went and dl 1.28/1.29a and got nothing

on 1.29a i get

[00:23:46.437] sending init sequence 1 (0001)
[00:23:49.718] sending init sequence 1 (0003)
[00:23:52.984] sending init sequence 1 (FFFF)
[00:23:55.718] no response to any known code

My tactrix cable driver isn't working lol gotta find my ecuflash CD and install the driver.

I look inside the evoscan folder and found the driver. I searched Google and couldn't find it. Thanks for the tip.

I finally have time to mess with this and I get this same message when I choose 2001-2005 Mitsubishi 3rd gen but my car is a 2000 and when I chose the 1996-2001 Mitsubishi 2nd Gen nothing happens.

Do I need a template for my car?? I'm determined to do this and any help is appreciated it.

You need to try with 2.0.

Make sure the flash adapter has good connection.

Yes. Cable 2.0.

Like i said. Maybe you need a old version ecuflash. The new one are having problems with the cable 1.3u.

Double check connection. Try using the second template. 2g since your rom is a h8 chip.

ok so i added the periphery configuration to the base xml file and i opened ecuflash and loaded my rom but still cant edit out the immobilizer

i spent hours searching this and got this far but now im stuck

Bro. Careful of what you put on the xml and value you change on ECUFLASH

That is the wrong memory location for your rom

Remember 99-00 ROM are H8 CPU- "YOUR ROM"
01-03 are SH CPU

H8 ROM periphery bits memory location starts at 0x272, 0x282 and so on
SH ROM periphery bits memory location starts at 0xFAA, 0xFBA and so on

I will send you new xml with the periphery for H8 ROM

It looks like you were trying to use a hex code with a binary programmed computer? Lol idk. So i had an issue with my immobilizer, never got it fix, but i was using an evo 8 ecu...

I looked around. And is more hard than changing one bit at one location.

Found 8 location where bits needs to be disable = 0

From 0x10272 to 0x10280
