E54A means its a 7g Galant and the number after it is the production number I guess.
Still cannot find the engine code an the 6a12.. Where exactly is it?
Usually in front on the bottom, could be covered up with oil and dirt. You can also check the tag on the firewall, but that would be for the engine it came with if it was swapped.
It is 6a12 for sure.
There should be a stamping on the engine block usually around where the trans mats up with the engine code. Looks like a hack job but she will clean up nicely.

This is the non Mivec version of the 6a12, is that correct? Because the VX-R has the Mivec MD 6a12.. I am just wondering if mine has Mivec..
its not MIVEC, if it was it would have a plastic cover over the motor saying MIVEC on it.

ok guys my guage cluster is still messed up.. currently having a hard time finding 7g parts in philippines.. anybody know if anyother guage cluster will fit into a 7g or does it have to be a 7g? i need a/c vents and the handrest compartment in the center console also.. help tgc!!!

do you guys think my guage cluster is repairable. gas and temp appears to be working but who knows how accurate. my speedometer worked on day 1 but never again after that.. the tach goes to 1.5 then gets stuck for some reason.. maybe its my speed sensor... who knows.. but do you think my guage cluster is repairable??? i dont really want to buy a new one from car parts and if i could just buy the guages and get it put back together
can i get any other gauge cluster to fit in my car?
O yea I forgot about that I have asa diff versions but I dunno how to load the other versions. If I could I could get a part number and search eBay.
