    Hello from Texas

Bought my 2003 galant like 3 years ago and its been a great daily. I had a 99 eclipse that had been my project but after a snapped timing belt then a blown transmission the wife made me sell it. So it's time to upgrade the 4g64!

The swap I am interested in doing is putting the 4g63 heads on the 4g64 and then boosting it.

I searched google and mainly come up with guys like me also searching, or you find a lot of people doing the swap in the spyder.

This swap wasn't mentioned in the sticky's here, and the threads on it are kinda vague.

Does anybody have a link to a write up on this build?

I have a bone stock 4g64 with auto trans. I will be buying the head online this week so I can start getting it rebuilt, but I also am looking for a parts list for everything else so I can start to gather them all up.

    Thanks!

never mind. the link wasn't underlined in the sticky so me being a bone head didn't see it.

I'm going to move quick with buying the engine. Probably doing to do it this weekend.

Is this the correct engine I would pull the head from?

    Welcome to tgc!

IIRC it's the evolution head or hyundai dohc head you'll want to swap onto the 4g64. Otherwise the intake will be in the front and the exhaust manifold towards the firewall. Obviously you don't want that.

Oh yea you are right. I didn't even think about there being two styles.

Well now my choices of engines online just shrank considerably.
