The rasp isn't that bad, sounds beastly. Kudos.

Use heat wrap on the intake pipe, or fabricate an intake pipe made out of ABS piping.

Do you already have intake spacer on it? Other than that maybe bigger trans cooler try to make additional openings in front of car to dissipate heat better, would a scoop over intake work, a cold shot ice bath on the intake like old school guys used to do. That's about all I got other than water/ neth injection for that see roadrace guys I think that would help

I know one thing..if your intake has a metal maf adapter, get a thermoplastic one on ebay. I have one for my cone filter setup. It really does stay cool. If I can think of anything for the pipe ill let you know. I know they make covers, I think DEI makes one. Same people who make header wrap

What about switching the i4 radiator to the 6 cyl radiator I did that on my stock i4 and its been great for heat soak and in winter I was a bit under even temp even after 40 minutes of highway driving.

This is what I want to buy, it's an intake manifold spacer and throttle body spacer kit for the V6. The lower temps and power gains look good.

I hear , it works though when you get a good one. Its a guy on mirage performance that just buys the Teflon or phenolic and makes the gasket himself. Its also a good issue of autospeed about it on a miata GOP to autospeed.com and search phenolic. But its something that will decrease drag times when he tested it.

Was the one that your buddy had from Out Law Engineering? or was it one from Ebay. I've read stories and seen pictures on line of knock offs that melt from Ebay.
