what is the name of the black box behind the glove box...

what is the name of the little black box with the elctric connector that is located behind the glove box. There is a small elecric motor within the box. The black box activates the lever that allows exterior air to enter the car or recirculated the interior air? Suggestions for a source of one?

Not cabin filter. This is an enclosed black box with an electric motor in it thta moves a lever to lets in or block outside air into the cabin. I call it an air motor but I am sure that is not the right name.

Found a mits 7g service manual and it is called the inside/outside air changeover damper motor. Boy that's a mouthful. Anyone got a spare they want to get rid of cheap?

Is yours clicking or just dead? If it is clicking I repaired mine by taking it apart, and resetting the gears. I think I just zip tied it back together.

Year it is clicking. I already rotated the gears once so figure there is no more adjustment left in it. Those plastic gears are garbage
