    looking for a mits parts number guide

    I am looking for a mits parts number guide. I have the part name but now I need to find the Mits part number so I can go looking for it on line.

    BGOOD12.
    I am looking for an inside/outside changeover damper motor. It is the black box located behind the glove box that controls whether outside air is allowed into the cabin or if the inside air recurculates. It has plastic gears in it that over time break. I have already rotated the gears once so I figure it is time for a replacement. I love this site, 3 replies in less than 20 minutes.

    The part I am looking for is the black box in the middle of the picture with the three screw and red and green wire running to it and the metal lever on the right.

    I have updated asa , but I could locate it and make sure its the correct part, and it would be specific as to like if he has the cigarrete smoker version of car with filter or not and perhaps other minor things.

    All 7gs have this same exact part. I have ASA, caps is outdated, and just type in the chassis code and go. If anything you would need the vin if there were multiple options but for this part it's just one option for all 1994-1998 galants

    You are correct all 94-98 7g had the exact same recirculate motor. The name "inside/outside changeover damper motor" came from a 96 Mits factory serb=vice manual. I found it for $65 at http://www.parts.com/parts/1997/MITS...agramCallOut=5
