    my Mirage project

Hey guys, as some of you know I sold my 8g and bought a van and got a mirage for free. This post is fount to be about my progress on the mirage. Its a 1999, has a 1.5, and has just over 133,*** on the clock. I plan on doing the 4g64 swap and going dohc and going Turbo with a 5 speed swap to boot. And then going all evolution 5 OEM body panels to finish her out. I'm really hoping that since I am moving again I'll be able to start Modding the way I want to soon. I will have to take it to a body shop cause the trunk is a little busted in, so I guess it depends on how much that will run me first
    Lol. Ill keep y'all posted.

Sounds like a fun project. The Evo V & VI are my favorite Evos. Going AWD, too?

    nice pick up

I have to say it, the Mirage is Mitsubishi's civic, only vastly more neglected from the aftermarket

I've been on that Mirage forum that Denver posted a link to in your other thread, going AWD is a serious $$$ commitment in this platform, as you need the Evo trunk pan to do it right. Those guys seem to order Evo clips from overseas to the tune of $6K to get OEM panels, Evo AWD drivetrain and engine and body harnesses, the last being crucial if you do the RHD swap if you keep the Evo dash. Although, with a 2Dr, you may not have any recourse but aftermarket fiberglas parts for the rear quarter, i'm not sure. Either way, I'll be watching, I really wanna do something like this someday with a Mirage, I love the Evo 5's! Good luck!

If you don't have it also maybe get caps with Japanese passcode so you can look up part #s you need.

Actually, they only thing that I wasn't already watch on eBay was the front end conversion. I wish I had the cash now so I could get this. I guess that's my motivation to sell the dolphin, vr4 rear, cyber skirts, s7 gauges, and anything else I hae been hording. Lol

nice freebie, always liked the mirage. Was looking for a coupe before I ended up with the galant. I really wished we got the mirage cyborg over here, or even the FTO.

I'd kill to have an Evo V or VI.

Good luck with the project, glad to see TGC is still a bad influence with budget spending. lol
