Custom SVR4 spoiler gone wrong? =/

I was trying to get a replica SVR4 spoiler from a member here but for some weird reason he won't reply to my emails after the initial one.

Anyway, I was thinking of having a replica made SVR4 spoiler from my fabricator.

I was really confident that he'll make me an identical looking one with only pics as a reference and an identical car similar to mine in his area for fitment purposes only.

Why did I think he can make me one? He's talented and he made these for me with only pics as a guide

Copy SVR4 Front Canards and Rear Extensions (close enough for me)

It looks like the real deal so anyway he passed with flying colors on the first part of my project.

The second phase was the SVR4 wing. I asked him if he can make this also? i sent him some pictures...

He said "yup...I can sir." so I was ecstatic.

I made arrangements for a duplicate VR4 trunk for him to use and make his life easier or the fitment extrapolating close enough measurements

I bought him this locally online for a song that was in his area and had him pick it up.

On the day he picked the trunk with VR4 spoiler up, I called him, he was on a bus.

I asked if he can use the LED lights of the spoiler for our custom made one.

He relied: some seconds passed "I think i can use it for your spoiler" a pause "Yes sir! I have an idea already on how to incorporate it."

We ended our conversation with excitement.

That was 1 month ago...

Thursday last week...he PM'd me on Facebook and told me that the final CF process for the custom spoiler was about to start.

I asked for some pictures. He told me he'l send them Friday.

Friday comes and i see a PM from him on FB.

I opened it in anticipation ...and my jaw dropped

...with SHOCK...

What happened to the replica SVR4 spoiler?

In a flash I called him up...

His reply was...

Customizer: "Sir, I followed your request"

Me: "My request?" completely puzzled.

Customizer: "yes sir, remember when you called a month ago while I was on the bus after picking up the trunk with spoiler?"

Me: trying to remember: "What Did i say?

Customizer: "You told me to use the existing spoiler on the trunk and incorporate it on our project."

I explained that he was only supposed to use the LED Lights,,not use the existing spoiler as a base...

Total Miscommunication...darn.

Anyway so I asked for pictures of the Custom spoiler on the trunk...maybe I'll like it but this was a big blow to my project Repilca SVR4.

He'll send it the following day because he's already at home and the trunk and the spoiler was at the shop.

So after another sleepless night and these pics came in...

I kind of like this picture...though I wish it would have a center support.

Analysis:

- A wing that's in fact a double wing...one built on top of another
- there's a gap in between the utilized the VR4 spoiler to let air pass though.
- sides looks to short.

Anyway, I'm kind of growing attached to this wing though I would like it to have:

- longer, sharper sides the current sides seems too short.
- a center support.

Any comments?

Anyway, who in the states sells a replica Super VR4 spoiler? I still need one.

I would if I could have found one but EVO wings especially the earlier ones are hard to find here in the Philippines.

most likely he was preoccupied with other stuff on the bus let alone loud noises from other people to hear your conversation clearly.

I'm sure there's a member here "Trigg" that can find you a authentic svr4 wing, as a matter of fact when he sent me mine I'm almost sure he had 2.

i like the way it came it, but isnt there company out that makes replicas here in the states? i know i remember seeing it a couple of times on members cars "breakin necks" was one of them.

Lower deck has been modified for a different led thou and top deck and sides look to be molded together. Not worth the price for a piece that's been modded IMO anyways

Anyway, local member of our 8g forum PM me and he told me he'll be selling copies of SVR4 wings in the future.

here's an example. The lights are wrong but I think I might be able to fix it

I actually like the one he made better then the SVR4 spoiler. I think it looks better without the center support as well. If you don't like the bottom gap then just have him fill it in. I think it'll look badass and I typically don't like big wing spoilers. Not only that but you'll also have a one of a kind piece of kit that no one else will have. I'd chalk that one up as a win.
