The hubs can be removed from the knuckle by un bolting it, if he's unable to remove the hub from the knuckle then he would need to replace all three components,

edit/ hes gona have to replace the knuckle due to the axle
since its sandwich in between each other,

If the axle is welded to the hub, the hub to the knuckle could be worse. Toyota hub assemblies are mostly pressed in so when they get this bad the knuckle either gets fucked or bent. The Prius have bolt on hubs but when we cant get the axles out of the hubs 9/10 the hub is even worse on the knuckle and we end up pressing it out, usually the ears on the knuckles break off. Thank God, Mitsubishi has bolted hubs but like, I said if the axle is stuck in the hub the hub will most likely be stuck in the knuckle. ESPECIALLY if the car has lived it's life in the northern part of the country.

ok so he just cant replace the hubs and axles, unless hes able to separate the them from each other, or save the knuckle

    heres a pic

the hub bolts onto the outside of the knuckle and the axle runs threw it, if he was to unbolt the hub it wont do him any good because the axle is welded to the hub

    hope this helps out

OK so EVERYONE can understand.....You can NOT remove the Knucle from the assembly while the AXLE is still inside the hub. The axles spline ring will not allow the hub to slide over it.

Also you can not get a socket properly over two of the bolts for the knuckle after inserting the axle theres no clearence for it.

you can remove it all as one solid pice like i have in the picture. take the axel out of the transmission pop the nuckle off of the lower control arm ball joint unbolt the tierod end for the rack and remove the bolts holding the knuckle to the strut arm. i may be forgeting something else thats bolted to the knuckle if not thare you go.
