    New member from Baltimore, just picked up a 2001 Galant w/96 k on the clock. Looking forward to learning more and having fun

    Welcome to TGC, I would probably do some maintenance first, who knows what the previous owner didn't do.

    Thanks for the warm welcome guys, got some prettying up to do to her. Black8gv6, that's the first thing I did, plugs & wires, oil change and all other fluids, took the breaks apart and cleaned and lubed them, re-hung the bumper, replaced the side mirror, spot cleaned it bumper to bumper until I get a full detail, and have one of my buddies lined up to do the timing belt. It had been sitting for a while because the ac compressor locked up so I just threw a belt on for non-ac to get it moving until I get time and energy to replace it. All in all it was pretty well maintained, the p/o wasn't a very good driver, all 4 corners have some battle scars lol.
